Emerging filmmaker Alison McAlpine toured the back roads of Scotland with a charming elderly gentleman and his dog, in search of the ancient Celtic phenomenon of Second Sight. Ghost stories, foreshadowings and early tragic deaths make up some of their stories collected in English and Scots Gaelic; McAlpine also finds fascination in the old man’s own homey ritualistic daily activities. The ravishing photography is by Nova Scotian John Walker; another honorary bluenoser, Peter Wintonick, served as executive producer.
