From the makers of the award-winning promo short Hobo With A Shotgun (soon to be expanded into a major motion picture) comes a ferocious and long-overdue tale of evergreen vengeance upon the heartless human yuletide revellers who have abused Christmas trees for far too long. Explosively funny and delightfully gory, Treevenge might even change the opinions of the most dedicated tree huggers.

I hate to say this, because I like Jason, but I've got to call out the Emperor and say this film is way overrated, suffering from lack of editing or maybe the writing stage was rushed. It started off so promising (the music is the best part) then at one point, it feels like something tipped over as mayhem is unleashed with no time to appreciate what's going on. Characters seem to come out of nowhere (the guy with the knee bandage - huh?) and payoffs for other characters are lacking (Lex lubing up the tree, for instance). It just looks to me like too much energy was spent on the opening and closing titles and the film is just crammed in between. The fx are awesome, though, far better than in the Midnight Meat Train which followed (CGI has no place in horror). Would definitely benefit from a re-cut.
